RELAUNCH FOR 18 MILLION CITIZENS

With almost 18 million inhabitants, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is the most populous state in Germany. For all residents of the state, as well as media representatives and associations, the website is the most important information portal on all government activities, with almost 2 million visitors per month. The task of the relaunch was to make the portal more user-friendly, interactive and give it a fresh visual identity.

THE STRATEGY

The orientation of the information portal was to be fundamentally revised and was clearly aligned with the needs of the users. For this purpose, basic roles were assigned to the website, which are reflected in the visualisation as well as in the structure. The navigation reflects the basic tasks of the government (informing, designing, making it possible to experience and offering service) and provides stringent orientation. Media and interactive elements are displayed more prominently and dynamic news makes the website seem alive.
